What Is the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA)?

If you’ve been the victim of a violent crime, you may be entitled to compensation through the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA) – a government-funded scheme that supports victims across England, Wales, and Scotland.

Who Can Claim Through the CICA?

You may be eligible if:

  • The incident occurred in the UK within the last two years (there are exceptions for children and certain trauma cases).
